What Neighborhoods Are There to Choose From in Tel Aviv For a Rental?

Tel Aviv is a beautiful, large, and prosperous city. It is the second largest city in the country of Israel, and is established to be the center of science and computing there. When considering moving there, you will need a rental in a decent neighborhood. The city is huge, covering more than 20 square miles and is still expanding. There are many nice areas in the city, and also some very trendy areas. An experienced real estate agent in Tel Aviv can help you decide where the best place or neighborhood to live is.

  • Jaffa is the oldest part of Tel Aviv. It is the original port city that was founded in 1909, from which the newer city grew from. This area of the city is very popular with young professionals and has a predominantly Arab population. The area has become popular with tourists due to all of the historic buildings, museums, theaters, art galleries, and restaurants.
  • Neve Tzedek is another very old part of the city, also considered to be a very trendy area. The neighborhood itself is small and feels like an old village. There are many converted historic buildings, theaters, bars, cafes, and museums inside of Neve Tzedek. 
  • Ramat Aviv is one of the newer areas of the city. This area was built and expanded upon in the 1950s when many Europeans were immigrating there. This neighborhood is home to the Tel Aviv University and many museums and cultural areas. The neighborhood has a more European style and has many housing areas and parks.
  • Florentin is one of the older areas in Tel Aviv, built sometime after Jaffa’s expansion past the port city it was built upon. The area went through a revival period in the 1990s in which it became a trendy place to live and work. The neighborhood is now known for its nightclubs, shopping, bars, and cafes.
